Elk River area schools management is threatening our custodial employees with ‘sub contracting’ their jobs! And they have presented our union with a plan to devalue our schools by creating lower paying second class jobs for future food service and secretarial/clerical employees. This is a blatant attempt to devalue our work and divide our members through lower paid second class jobs in what should be a first class district. Our new employees will only find resentment at doing work for less – who wouldn’t?
