Please make note that all fair share fee payers and members are required, per the SEIU International Bylaws, to pay, at the very least, a minimum dues per month regardless if they are paying on a percentage basis or the formula workup through Local 284.
Minimum dues rate is as follows: Employees working 14+ hrs per week with their dues rate as calculated above totaling less than the minimum rate set shall pay $25 per month or $12.50 bi-weekly. Employees working less than 14 hrs per week with their dues rate as calculated above totaling less than the minimum rate set shall pay $15 per month or $7.50 bi-weekly.
Maximum dues amount is $75 per month**.
**PLEASE NOTE: There are some Employers where members and fair share fee payers work more months with fewer payroll deductions (example: 12 months with 10 payroll deductions). In their case, they will pay more than the $75 per month but it will calculate to no more than the $75 cap for the number of months actually worked.
